Any NK allergies to Chicken Acana?
We feed all our dogs Acana now (except the few that eat RAW), and we have had great results with it. Until we got Tai...
Tai seems to be allergic to Acana, he gets VERY sick when he eats it. We moved him from puppy food to Acana and he started getting sick, we assumed it was the chicken, so we moved him to ground beef and rice until we could get his GI back on track. Then we moved him to RAW - CHICKEN RAW - and he is fine on it.
Then last night he jumped up on the food cart (yes, he's one of those Kai) and eat some Acana and last night he was sick. So its clearly the Acana, but not the chicken...
So, I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed allergies in their dogs who are eating Acana?
Also, and interesting side, Blue had an allergy reaction (skin) on Orijen, but not on Acana. We switched him to Acana and it cleared up - in his case we figured out it was the Choline Chloride in Orijen that caused the issue.

Mind you I have no proof just my experience.
Recently switched Sukoshi's food because she was periodically throwing up. Was on Avoderm Chicken -- after reading about chicken allergies in NK I decided to try something different.
She and Hoshi are now on dry California Natural Rice and Lamb. So far she seems to be doing better--not throwing up so much. Both dogs like the food and Hoshi is getting better in terms of coat. (He is my almost 13 year old rescue. He had kennel cough/pneumonia about a month ago when I got him. ) I also picked up a bag of California Herring and Sweet Potato so that they can have a little variety. Will see how they do with that. The kibble is supplemented with cheese and veggies every so often.
I think California Natural (Natura) was recently acquired by Proctor and Gamble. Hope this doesn't have negative impact on quality... (As I recall, California Natural is a "4 star food", but the ratings are about 3 years old)

Akira is now on RAW and he's doing amazing except when my BF insist on giving him bread
Saya's been on raw diet for 8 or 9 weeks and she is doing great she has stopped reverse sneezing which makes me happy.
Nice observations on Tai. =)
