Update: Brad will be on his way to Florida in the morning. He should land sometime early afternoon.
However, they are still accepting donations, as his ticket is only a one way ticket. So if you are able, please donate. And spread the word. I know not everyone is able to donate (times are definitely tough), but if you can help spread the word about Mochi, it would definitely help!
Keep your fingers crossed that Brad can bring Mochi home!
Thanks all for the thought and words. I am on my way home to Taos now without Mochi. Unfortunately I have to go home and get some work done for a launch on Monday. Sucks I have to work while I am some consumed with Mochi's situation, but someone has to pay the bills. Maybe I will head back out here in a week or so, I dunno. This situation is really upsetting.
Hopefully Mochi will come out of hiding soon and let someone bring her in. I can only imagine how frustrating and upsetting the situation is for you... As it is quite frustrating and upsetting to me, and I have never even met Mochi. But all of you will continue to be in my thoughts. And if there is anything I can do (or any of us, for that matter), just let me (us) know.
=T I'm so sorry you still weren't able to get her. I was hoping you'd get her before you went back today. I hope she is found soon. She must be so scared. I can't even begin to understand what you and Jen are going through. I myself am already upset about this, but you two must be feeling 1000x worse.
I've been following this post very sadly!! Praying for Mochi's safe return. Have you ever thought of using a squawker? It's very successful in lost-greyhound searches I've been on. The squawker is a... sort of plastic thing?... that imitates the screams made by a dying rabbit or turkey. If you honk one of those things for awhile, you'll have every loose dog in earshot making fast tracks for you!! You just need to be sure not to use them near roads (you wouldn't want to call your dog in, have it try to cross a busy road, and get hit) but it may be very successful if Mochi has a high prey drive, or is hungry?
I keep checking this thread hoping for good news. I really hope Mochi decides to calm down and let a person get ahold of her. She's chipped and the word is out there and that's really all that needs to happen. I think she'll be able to take care of herself before that, Kai Ken Kaution should keep her away from roads.
No, Mochi is not home safe yet. She is still living in the woods at the south edge of the Orlando airport, in a restricted area. The airport is actively trying to catch her and we have hired a new trapper, who has trapped dogs in the past, to start working with the airport staff. He started this week.
I've really got my fingers crossed that this trapper will pan out. I think you guys are doing an amazing job trying to find her while still tending to your other responsibilities. Kudos! And keep your chin up.
Well I'm certainly sending positive vibes as is my wife and I'm sure my shiba is as well. At least Mochi has had the ability to keep herself alive all this time. That is definitely one consolation....knowing that she can take care of herself while on her own.
Osy tried tremendously to search for Mochi. No luck. I found a Kai two hours from an airport that some people thought was her as an adult but it isn't.

Keep Mochi, Brad, Osy, and the rest of the search party in your thoughts!
Travel safely!
Osy/Brad- Have the flyers also been done in Spanish? If not, this might be a good idea.
I did a "sort on dog meetups" in the Orlando area. They may also be a resource. Here is the link:

Here are some photos of what they look like: http://www.gemgreyhounds.org/gem_store/squawkers.htm
Mochi is in our prayers every day!

I saw this bumped up and thought maybe something happened. I had my hopes up for Mochi.
