Thanks guys! I was so upset when her sister died because I have been wanting one for so long! These little fellas are so rare and I was so happy when I was able to contact Robert and give me more info about them along with a list of breeders as they are pretty much non-exsistant here in the US! It would be an honor to have Kagai! I know Kenji and Keira would LOVE her too soooo im hoping she is still available!
OMG. The picture with the parent's on one side of the gate and Kagai on the other side is so cute!!! Actually all the pictures are cute, but those three are incredibly touching.
I also really like the pic where one of the parents is under a trailer or something and Kagai's all 'I found ya'!!!
BTW, how often do you have to give those dogs a bath??? LOL.
So, Jamie, you are still wanting a Hokkaido? I thought you moved onto a Husky... that is really cool. I'm telling you, you would be famous if you had a Hokkaido.
I have been communicating with Bob Simmons, the guy in CO who has some Hokkaido... he seems nice. I want to get him on the forum too.
(We are not getting a Hokkaido - I just read my post and it kinda sounded like I was hinting that we are talking to him about getting one or something)
Jamie, you would be famous if you did get one. You would, of course, be obliged to spam us with tons of pictures and videos or we would shun you forever. ;-)

Brad, the fact that you don't have two Hokkaido (or a second Kai for that matter) offends my sense of symmetry. You must remedy that ASAP!
I had been juggling over a Hokkaido and a Husky because I didnt know if I would ever get a Hokkaido because #1 they are so rare, and #2 they have small litters, so ive been waiting to see what happens. But I REALLY want a Hokkaido, since I already know so much about the breed and the japanese native breeds as it is. It would make me EXTREMELY happy if I could get her, or one from a litter in a year.
lol - yea, poor Kona. He is all alone in the world, only Shikas, Shibas and Akita to play with, what is he gonna do?
I'm not sure I will never own a Hokkaido, I think they are amazing but we have enough breeds to deal with. We will probably never get a Hokkaido, another Shiba, or a Tosa... I think that is a safe thing to write "on record".
I am sure we will have another Kai one day - assuming Kona grows to be of great quality (great hips, eyes, temperament, etc), their will probably be a female Kai-Ken in our pack one day.
"quality" <- Reminds me of "Zen And The Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance", that book is amazing.
I totally agree with the gate picture! It almost brought tears to my eyes like when she does adventually find an owner, if its me or someone else, its like the picture is saying a final goodbye. =(
All of those pictures on that website seem to tell a story which is so powerful. It looks like she is a fast learner and can hold her own
Yup, Jamie. That is exactly what I was thinking. As much as I want you to have Kagai...she is so cute with her mum and dad. They really, really love her and....well....

On the other hand this could be her two out of 5 new family (Too hard to get the cats in the picture at the same time)
Bingo Okiron! Thats the only way...bribe them with scooby snacks!
Jamie, that's the best pic yet of your pups - so cute!
Keep in mind a mommy, daddy, and daughter are great together when the daughter is a pup... but in a few years... well... not so much.
:P
Brad had a poodle growing up! Who knew?
Remember, never say never on the forum!
