Here is Ziggy our new 12 week old Kai Ken puppy. He seems to be getting along well with Autumn (our 1.5 year old Shiba). The only issue we seem to be having is he is a bit food agressive...so we shall see how that plays out. Until we sort that out we are feeding them in their crates :)

    Thanks guys :) He is def a handful but so much fun! He has a ton of brindling. Not sure when that is suppose to come in but it seems like a lot for a puppy his age :)

    @hondru I think all the Kai puppies on this site is the reason I ended up with Ziggy lol!

    Food possessiveness is pretty typical in Kai pups, they usually grow out of it.

    Where did Ziggy come from? (or did I miss that post?)

    Thanks guys! We are just loving him!! We took him on a 1.5 mile walk today with Autumn in the woods. We thought for sure we would have to carry him some of the way but he did the whole thing! He also was awsome on the leash, better then Autumn :P We were shock!! I think he is going to fit right in to our life style

    @brada1878 I am so glad you say that Kais out grow the food possessiveness!!! I was a little worried. I have never seen a dog do that... We got Ziggy from Marsha up in MI since we are just in Ohio. Great experience :)

    Marsha is super nice and was only a few hours from us....and when we saw pics of Ziggy we 'knew' he would fit in hahaha.

    PS Trevor named Ziggy all by himself :P I asked where he got the name from and he said....something about a Steelers player with that name (Trevor is origionally from Pittsburgh). In case anyone was curious.

    @kaiyak Yea Ziggy was Marsha's "orange puppy" from this past litter :) He has a very relaxed persionality...well besides the craziness about food. Lol

    I knew I remembered that beautiful brindled baby boy.Marsha and this forum were instrumental in me locating my future kai pup. If we were looking for a male I would have snatched him up in a second.Congrats!!!!

    @kaiyak I am so glad you didnt snatch him up! He is exactly what we were looking for and seems to be fitting in quite nicely! Im sure you are super excited to be getting your pup! :)

    @kait0585 You can thank my daughter for me not snatching Ziggy. I wanted a male, she wanted a female. Being that its me, my son, and a male jackpug leaving her the only female in the house I could understand her point and let her have her way :) I'll be feelling your happiness in about 3 more lonnnnnnnnnng weeks when our kai will be old enough to go home. We had an iguana named Ziggy once, so things would have been a little awkward if he had come here lol. Ziggy's developing beautifully, keep posting updated pics !

    @kaiyak haha I totally understand the imbalance. We were looking for a male since its me, Autumn (our female shiba) and 2 female cats!! My husband felt a little outnumbered :) You will have to post pics of your little Kai girl once you get her!

    We are in Cleveland Ohio for now. We are working on moving to central PA though :)

    Sorry to post late, but Ziggy is so cute! I love kai ken Marsha is a nice kai ken breeder from what I've read glad you got a good puppy. =)
