Ame update.
First off I have to apologize for not putting up any updates of Ame chan. Its been a crazy few weeks with work, disaster in Japan, and keeping tabs on my family in Japan on a daily basis. So here is a short update on a wonderful little Kai girl.
My brother was blessed with being owned by a little Kai Ame, also known as Eleanor. Brad and Dave worked miracles to get Ame to San Diego so without those two awesome guys,this would have never happened. So the last few weeks we been allowing Ame to get confortable with things here before we started her boar dog training. Today was her first taste of a wild boar, I took a frozen wild boar foot and showed her the hoof. Immediately she went nuts and just started gnawing on the hoof.
I was blown away as both Taro and Yuki never showed this type of intrest in boar hoof. Next step is to put her on a small hog in a pen and see how she does with baying. Once tukey hunting is over, I will be construting a much better pen then I had last time so we'll see how Ame turns out.
