TK went to the vet today for a sliced up ear. It's obviously his favorite thing ever.

Anyway, while we were being seen, I noticed a rather large lump on his neck, under his jaw. We have to come bqck to get it poked at because he'll need to be sedated, but I was wondering if anyone else had heard of this or had seen this in other NK. He seems normal otherwise. I'm hoping it may be an abcess from a bum tooth or something... and clears up with the antibiotics.

I remember an older thread about a shikoku getting a lump removed on the neck (I think it was @hondru 's Rakka).

@Calia - Thanks! It sounds like Rakka had something similar to what TK has as far as size and location. The vet wants to poke at it and, surprisingly, TK really liked the vet that saw him today so I guess I'll give it a go if the antibiotics don't make it shrink any.

@Hondru - I read through, but I didn't see if Rakka's biopsy came back with anything. Did the vet/test say anything about it?

Rakka's biopsy came back normal, so it was just a random cyst. That's why the vet said we should wait to see if it just goes away on its own, since the operation was tricky. It would shrink and then just balloon up again, though, so yeah we did get it removed. It didn't cause her any pain.
