  • Hi Kris, found the pictures, thanks.

Could you please send some of them in an e-mail as attachement. I would like to crate a new page on my website with pictures of Shikoku's that I've placed in nice homes.

    Thanks
    Katja
  • Hi Katja

Well, I guess we think alike! I just sent you an email with a bunch of them, before I saw your post. Let me know if they email did not arrive and I will resend them!

  • They're beautiful!
  • Wonderful pictures. Thanks for sharing.
Does anyone know Katja's website address?
  • Sachi is so beautiful, who are her parents, if you don't mind me asking?
  • Sachi's parents are Tenshou Go Awahakuga (Kuma) x Akashima's Kochi-Ken Chigusa (Kimi)

    :-)
  • Oh too exciting. I am getting a puppy next spring/summer and the parents might be Kimi and Kuma. Glad to see that pair makes nice looking pups.
  • Good luck Jenn! I know it is a long wait, but worth it. I waited ~3 years for Sachi as I wanted a specific breeding/pedigree that was not really related to my male dog Kuma.
  • Hey Jenn, I'm on Katja's list as well. When I emailed Katja a few weeks ago, she had a male from Kuma and Aiko. My wife and I decided to go on her list instead as we were not quite ready for a new puppy yet.

I'm kinda curious about the different coat colors and how much change there is from puppy to adult. Katja told me that black and tan Shikoku puppies will stay black and tan, but it looks like Brad's Ahi started out black and tan, lightened up as she aged and ended up black sesame. Sachi started out red sesame and got darker as she aged and looks black sesame, like Ahi as well as her parents Kuma and Kimi. In these 2 instances, it seems like their puppy colors provided little indication on what they finally ended up. Pretty interesting...

  • They are both quite gorgeous! And your flowers are very colourful! :)
  • They do look great in the spring. And those flowers are gorgeous. :-)
  • haha... cute pics! Sometimes I wish we had some flowers and grass around here.

  • You have a very nice garden. Our yard is gravel with toys spread out all over it, lol. Not nearly as pretty.
  • They are soo cute!!!
  • gorgeous!

our tulips haven't popped yet - I can't wait to get nice 'spring flower' pictures.
  • Great spring pictures! Sachi and Kuma looks so nice next to those flowers.
  • Your dogs are gorgeous. I saw you here because my AA is named Sachi too. When she is older, and my life is a little calmer I have considered getting another dog. How old was Kuma when you brought home Sachi? How did you decide to choose the opposite gender? It's a long ways off (3 years, maybe) but I am already thinking about whether I'd prefer another female or not. Thanks for sharing these beautiful pics.
  • Nevermind the gender question, I see you are a breeder. But if you have advice for a pet owner, I am open to it.
  • @sachismom -There's tons of info on the forum that can help you with adding another pup in the future. Take a look around, or even start your own discussion, to get the answers to your questions.

    @edgewood - I demand more spam please :P
  • @edgewood, I second @calia's request! :) (please)
