Akashi... so odd...

I forgot to share this story with you all...

So, I shaved my head the other day, which is nothing new, and after I was done I swept the hair into a pile and then stepped out of the bathroom for a second. I came back into the bathroom to find Akashi had eaten the entire pile of my hair. WTH?

We watched him for several days to see if he got sick or anything. He didn't, which is good... but still... Why, Mr. Fox? WHY???

Silly dog.

    Saya will try to eat her own fur after a brushing, but spits it out right away though.

    Since, I'm guessing, that the shavings were pretty short, there shouldn't be an issue of passing it. At worse, he probably could have a turd that would look similar to a hawk pellet (furry things raptors puke up).

    lol... That is a bit strange. Nola on occasion eats my hair, and unfortunately it does cause her some problems coming out... Mainly the Shiba scream as her poop is dangling from her butt by my hair.

    Glad Mr. Fox did not have any complications. I wonder why they feel the need to ingest hair?

    Haha! Silly pup! Yeah Mika is addicted to eating fur and hair. When I moved Kyuubi's crate when we moved a lot of his pup fuzz was behind the crate and she immediately tried to dive into the pup fuzz and swallow it!

    Blech. Tojo used to eat his own hair as I brushed him if I wasn't careful. Weird.

    Shuran would dive into a pile of Shoushuu fluff that I have brushed mounts off from and the silly pup will plaster it all over the yard and eat some of it!

    London used to do this when he was a puppy, but the behavior stopped after a while (maybe I just got boring).

    Saya used to love to pull on mine or my mom's hair and if laying down she'd dig in my hair.. crazy dog! lol

    Leo bites my hair, but mostly he's trying to get at my ears. NOT enjoyable for me! I'm pretty sure he'd almost anything, though. Takes after his dad, I guess!

    My dog doesn't have any interest in hair (thankfully), but.... my female cat loves to chomp on my sister's hair. She has also done it to me a few times. It's actually pretty funny.

    Moja tends to eat other dogs fur, or her fur that she has shed. If you saw it, I don't think you would say that she's particularly is keen on eating it- but I think her attitude so far has been, as with most things, "It may not be appetizing but at least its edible"

    @WhoBitMe My cat does that exact same thing to me. Usually while purring loudly and interspersing the biting with rubbing her head/neck on my hair and then biting it again.

    But I'd never heard of a dog doing it before reading this!
