I bumped in to a person saying they had japanese akita's. I asked how do you know the Akita's are Japanese. The person said the parents are registered with Continental kennel club. I've never heard of this. The person had 3 puppies asking or $1500 each. I'm guessing this is a red flag?

    CKC is a fake kennel club for backyard breeders and puppymills. They will literally register any dog as long as you pay them.

    EDIT: Not to be confused with Canadian Kennel Club.

    I know someone who registered her border collie as a german shepherd through ConKC. It's not a reputable registry at all. UKC is a much more reputable registry in the US :)
