Introducing Fuji
Here are some clips of Fuji's intro into the pack - went pretty well. Lani has shown a few aggression signs but nothing to troubling.
Surprisingly Kona is the one that had the most issues with Fuji, but we think this is because Fuji jumped up on Jen and Kona didn't like that - he went into his "protect mommy" mode... but Fuji just ignored him and he got over it.
Fuji is smaller than expected, but she is a month younger than Lani was when we got her... so she is right on track. She is VERY sweet and cute. She just blew her puppy coat to so her fur is a little silly right now.
Fuji played non-stop with Izyda's Shikoku so she instantly took to Loa - its really interesting.

I really like your traction floor mats/rugs. Is it my imagination, the dogs seem to gravitate to them to play.

We have also reached the point that the pack is pushing the size limit a bit so we have to let them play together in shifts, so that makes things interesting.
Patrice - Yes, they do gravitate to them... they seem to work out well. I personally hate them [not the looks of the rugs just that we have to have rugs] and would rather not have any rugs but we have to have something to keep the pups from sliding and hurting themselves.
Baanton - I probably have not posted about her very much due to all the things that have been going on. Her arrival kinda snuck up on us. We have just been so busy with Ahi, Hilo and Maui that I just probably forgot to tell everyone. sorry. Fuji came from the same breeder as Lani - Izyda in Poland. She was shown to us before and I loved her but she was supposed to go to Sweden to be shown. But the lady in Sweden backed out and opened the opportunity for us to get her... so we jumped on it. Probably earlier than we really wanted since we just added Lani... but to good an opportunity to pass up imo.

Our Shikas have a lazy sit, but Fuji has a lazy lay:
She has a cute little white spot on the back of her neck:

Females do seem to have a fairly feminine body shape, less "bulky" and "beefy" than the males. She is also very thin, like Lani was. Honestly, she is surprisingly thin.
Things have gone pretty smoothly, but there is still tension in the pack, this intro has been the most difficult so far. The inside scope is that that picture of Fuji in the bathroom is an example of the complex-ness... Fuji went into the bathroom to explore then Lani followed her over there and laid right in front of the door stopping her for coming out. So Fuji just sat there waiting for Lani to let her out for like 20 minutes - it was kinda interesting. That's just a small example of the simple ways the dogs express their dominance and sometimes its hard to catch.
The biggest issues we are having is that Ahi is not able to be free with Fuji. The absence of Ahi in the pack opens up a hole in the foundation. Ahi's role has always been to control things, she controls the way the pack interacts, who barks when, when to play, when to sleep and the way new puppies interact with the pack. Without Ahi's presence her role is passed onto Hilo or Kona. Hilo is ok at it but tends to have a much more hectic correction method while Ahi has a playful correction method. Also Ahi would always control the puppies on how they interact with Hilo so he never had to do much puppy correcting. Kona is horrible at Ahi's job, he's just kinda an all around jerk about it. He puffs up and pushes on her with his chest and then his "corrections" are way over the top and causes Hilo to correct him for being a dick. Kona is still a puppy himself and needs Ahi to teach him how to properly correct a puppy - so Jen and I are having to take on this role and its difficult because Ahi was really very good at it.
As soon as Ahi comes out she starts growling and correcting Kona and starts to try and bring some order - its so interesting. Meanwhile Loa is licking Ahi's face. lol.
My point to all that was - things may look like they go super smooth and there is no added work for us, as if we just add the new pup and everyone is like "awesome a new buddy"... but that's not the case. We integrate our new pack members slowly and under the supervision of both Jen and I - its a lot of work and a slow process.
I only share the good pics and videos. )
I'll try to get some videos of Kona being a jerk and Ahi correcting him.

Sjhe has a very young headtype.
I love her color, very red! ^_^

So, what's with the Frog lay? Tasha laid with her legs slightly forward, Ronan with his legs behind (sometimes completely behind) him. Jack did the half-frog thing. Does any of it mean anything?
I have to say, she's got a very sweet 'eye' about her. Kinda like Tasha's expression. Such a sweetie! You just want to hug and squeeze her.

Sighhhh - you have my "dream pack."
