he is 8 months right now. I have a question does their fur get thicker in the winter because his has not really changed.

Wow! Koda has definitely grown since the last time you have posted pictures! He is a handsome boy.

As for their coats, most Shibas grow a 'winter' coat. Which is when their undercoat comes in very thick. Nola is starting to get hers already (mostly in the butt area, as we call her fluffy butt), but Bella has barely finished blowing her coat from the fall. It will be another month or so before she is fluffy again. And since he is still a puppy, he may not get a full winter coat. I am not expecting Nola to have much more than she currently has. Although, each Shiba does have their own coat schedule.

It's interesting because Ichi is already blowing his puppy coat and he's only 14 weeks old. He's hating me with the furminator right now but he tolerates it because he gets kong treats while I brush him. I plan on giving him a bath this weekend.

    Thanks,
    Jesse

Crimson- Mika is about the same age as Ichi and she is already blowing her coat as well. I didn't think she would yet but I assume it's normal? Do you know? Also, hw often do you use the Furminator? I never do it more than twice a week.
