What's in a Name?

edited March 2009 in General
I'm not feeling too well today - very cold, stomach oddness, aches, and such - and I pulled Tosca close. I needed my shiba space heater! I said "I love my baby girl," to her and she turned and looked at me. I didn't think much of it. Later on, I was telling my mother how much I "love" my favorite tea and guess who came running to me... and I didn't even have any food. It seems that Tosca may think her name is "Love". I thought that was kind of nice; she went from a rescue dog to "Love" in a handful of months.

Haha. Cute, I love how animals can respond to multiple names. I call my cat Tess "Pretty Princess" and when I do, my little shiba pup Sophie always looks up at me like, "who me? I know I am!"
