New/Clean Clothes Radar!

Tosca has clothing radar! As soon as new or freshly washed clothes hit my bed or a sofa or chair, she's on them. I don't know why but there she is every time I go shopping, do laundry, or try to plan an outfit. I've never had a dog that's a furry fashionista before and am curious why she's always trying to lay all over my stuff. (Shiba Theory - What's mine is mine and what's yours we share?) Could she have a desire to smell of fabric softener?

    I know that our mini dachshund LOVED to lay in the clothes freshly out of the dryer because of the warmth, but that doesn't explain why Tosca likes your new clothes. Perhaps she just likes to entertain/irritate you? :)

    Maybe she just wants to rub her scent all over your things. When you do laundry, you are washing her scent off and when you buy new things, I'm pretty sure they won't have her scent on them either.

    ...Unless, like the ninja she is, she sneaks into the store in the first place and rubs her scent on all the clothes you end up buying. You don't even know it but she is subconsciously mind controlling you to buy the things you buy!!! :)

    Lol it's not the fabric softener cause we don't use it here and the cats do the same thing lol.

    Triton does the same thing. LOVES to put white fur all over the clothes. It seems like whatever ends up on the bed to be folded is HIS!

    The kitten does this, it's a HUGE PIA as me clothes are, for the most part, black / dark grey & her fur is white. So I have fur ALL OVER!


    I think it's a way of them claiming us haha :) ~
