Our sad little fence is complete...for now

edited May 2008 in General
So we have a teeny yard (especially compared to our buddies in NM) but it was not completely fenced in. Only about 75%. Which meant our pups had had no outdoor off leash time since we moved in.

That of course sucked for all parties involved, canine and human alike.

We finished putting up the rest of the gate (we are having a beautiful fence installed next year but needed something to give our pups the space they need/deserve.

God it was so awesome to see Moto and Miko wrestle for hours. Piggy and Moto got some wrestle time, but Moto is a bad sport with bigger dogs, and Piggy is an older lady, so their time is more closely monitored. Piggy and Miko are just too different in size still. They walk together all the time, and sometimes Piglet will sleep next to Miko's playpen, and they will give kisses. Miko is all tongue and a little bit dog.

It is so nice to let them blow off steam.
Walks=gym class
Yard Time=recess
The whole shebang=tired pups and happy parents.

Same here!! Our backyard's fence got slammed with flood water last fall so we have a 90% fenced in yard with a big droop that just won't hold anymore, we tried a lot of things, the ground just won't take it.. so they don't get to play back there anymore :( But the dog parks are open now.. I think they get by :)

Its good to hear now nice Moto and Miko can play! They will probably have a blast together!!! And cause some mischief :)
    Tired dogs are GOOD dogs!

Congratulations on the fence! It has to give someone peace of mind to know the pups are busy, safely fenced in.
Plus tired puppies in the house makes a quiet house with happy puppies.

It is so nice to see "Piggie" so happy. Especially knowing her previous situation. You guys did good!

I want to eat her too.

She is burrowed under a blanket in my lap under my laptop snoring.

    I love her too much.

They must be loving a bit of free space to run.

I did an adoption event at a pet supply store today with a pitt/mix named Lollipop. Oh was she the sweetest. Loved on everyone, didn't get nasty, even was good with the 6 kittens and momma cat that were next to her in a crate. Oh how I wanted to take her home. She even tolerated a 3 year old grabbing her around the head and kissing her. Talk about a terrifying moment as he moved in out of nowhere to do that.

    More pictures really are mandatory.

She looks so cute in that pic - I think this is the first pic I have seen of Piggy moving... lol! She is always snuggling. :o)

Your fence is really tall! How many feet?

6 feet tall. Which is perfect. Moto has taken to running alongside every car that passes.

Miko is having a playdate with Mura her sister tomorrow. I will post pictures after that. I have a couple right now, but I will wait until after Paul and Mura come over.

They are happy with the sad fence, good for you guys. Jake runs the back fence line which backs up to a neighborhood with dogs I suppose. Looking forward to the playdate photos!
