Ronan the Pig

Ronan has been, from day one, a dog that doesn't care to eat.

While he's gone on spurts of eating full meals, twice a day, over a week period, it never lasts.

While it hasn't been a week yet, I'd like to tell you what he ate yesterday -- two meals consisting of 1/3 cup HK which was then rehdrated with equal amount of water, & 10 tablespoons cooked meat, 1/8 cup kibble, 8 EVO dog biscuits, 2 tablespoons cottage cheese, and 1 jar frozen lamb flavored baby food. And he still cruised the counter sniffing for food.

While I don't know his weight, he's nearly 22 inches tall. Maybe this is some growing spurt coming up on 21 mos?

Yeah, I've never seen him with this kind of an appetite! He's exactly 21.5 inches tall, but I suspect he's no longer the 37 pound dog he was a few months ago. He's got to be pushing 40 - finally!

Ah, that is good to know, and there is hope for a slightly bigger and taller Shikoku! (having a male Shikoku that is just at 9 months of age and 34 lbs at about 19.25 inches now) -Yeah, hope for continued growth. He is like Ronan too in that he doesn't eat a lot, but when he decides he is going to eat, can put down quite a bit at a sitting. But then my Siberians were that same way (days without eating then eating a lot).

Tenji has never been food oriented. He, like his brother, will go a couple of days without eating and then suddenly he will eat everything in sight. Must be the "wolf" in them.

Michelle, I will have to weigh Tenji as I think he has put on weight too.

That a respectful amount of food!

Reading you comment on your dogs sizes it becomes clear to me the mammoth I have at home, LOL!
Kuma is 4,5 months old, he's about 20 inches to the withers. I'm not sure about weight, cause the last time I weighed him was 3 weeks ago and he was 16,3 Kilos at the time. But since I pick him up everyday to go down the stairs, I calculate his weight to be in the 20Kg zone, that's about 44lbs.
