New to the forum: My 3 month old Shiba Inu
Say hello to Mylie
She's adorable, loves attention as long as it's not physical; she tends to escape from a petting unless she's in the mood for it. She LOVES to play, and gets into EVERYTHING, just for the attention. It only took us a few days to housebreak her, she walks well on a leash as long as we go on our "normal" walk. New walks are full of unfamiliar smells and she wants to check everything out. She already knows how to catch her ball, and "sit;" but in typical Shiba Inu fashion, she only listens when there's something in it for her. We're having a bit of a dominance problem, but we'll break her soon enough She's currently learning not to "play bite" and not to chew on things that aren't hers! She's so smart and independent, that training her has been a bit of a challenge.
Her personality makes us laugh on a daily basis, as does her clumsiness. She'll run straight into a wall, or fall off the couch, and act as though it didn't hurt.
We did a lot of research before deciding on this breed, and even though Shiba's aren't for everyone, we're happy we chose her.
We wouldn't trade Mylie for the world.
