I'll look through my pics and see if I have one of Ella's tail. Joey (Dave's pup) also has a tightly curled tail, but I can't remember if it does a double-curl.

Yep, Joey's is a double curl. I'm not sure if I have a good pic of it either. I'll look.

edit: Between these two pictures, you can kinda get the idea:

The end of his tail is on the other side, so you can't see where it finishes:

But here you can see it finished almost pointing forward again:

Happy Birthday Jazz!!!! Jazz looks so amazing!
I'm so glad you're on this forum LJ!!!

I lost my father close to two years ago now as well as a friend and a colleague, and it's been one of the hardest times in my life. I don't know what I would do if I lost both my parents. I hope I can have as good a relationship with with my future Kai as you have with Jazz!! I'm so glad you found each other and had someone who was there for you!!

Whoops - sorry, I did not see the beginning date! I think my previous post is a little late!!

Losing my parents was tough, but I made it through largely based on my faith and family. It was the process afterward that was the most difficult for me. I had been in the caretaker role for so long I was at loose ends with what to do with myself.

It's okay - I consider Jazz to have two birthdays - the day her life started and the day her life started with me.

Very touching story, LJ. I'm glad you've found some solace through it all. One of the many wonderful things about dogs is that they can give that to us. Sounds like Jazz is a real lover. Very happy for you that you found such a great dog.

Happy Birthday Jazz!! Thanks for sharing your story. I've always wondered what it would be like to adopt an older puppy/ young dog. Your story has answered my question.

Thanks for all the kinds words everyone! It means alot.

Wren - Rescue gives you an unbelievable feeling. Every person I know that has a rescue dog can tell you something special about their dog. These dogs love more - I truly believe it. They know where they were at and they know you got them out of it.
