You are experiencing molting season too!

Your privacy fence is impressive. You will appreciate every bit of it this winter!

So that's what five cords of wood looks like. That's quite a feat. My question to you is, in what order do you plan to use your privacy fence for heat? Top first? End first? Most weathered first? Cause it looks like the bests stuff is nearest to the house. :-)

I love it! Actually, if you added some mortar you could have a permanent cordwood privacy fence. Of course, I have no idea how much cords of wood cost.

Wow... That is a lot of wood! :) I agree with Jen, you can make a fur fence if all else fails!

That part of our fence is exactly 100 feet, so I think that is about 90 feet of fire wood.

We had about 1.5 cords already that was seasoned and ready to be burned.

The 4 cords [of which I'm still waiting on .25 cords to be delivered] I ordered is for next winter and then the next. Wood has to season for 3 - 12 months [depending on the climate] before it can be burned efficiently. You always get wood in the summer for the following years winter.

So to answer your question, Dave, the wood closest to the house [the darker stuff] will be burnt this winter. Our plan is to have "Phase II" of our fence done before I have to start burning wood so we never lose the privacy ["Phase II" is Latia fence along that portion of our fence and the right side of our fence (by the shiba area)].
