Hoozah! Yay for Ahi spammage! I think this forum is the only place I get to see some realy nice spam of all the nihon ken! [ especially Shikas & Kai! ] Thanks!

What's up with the pack ganging up on Ahi in the middle of the first video? lol That's ok, I know she can hold her own ;D~

Oh---- good for Ahi! You go, girl! What fun everyone is having... Looks like Kona and Ahi are best of buddies and respectful of one another (in a doggie sort of way!)... Perhaps the whole pack can be back to "normal" now?

    Thanks for sharing!

Osy - Don't be fooled, Ahi LOVES it... she runs around to get them to chase then rolls over so they can abuse her. She loves being abused. If you pay close attention to the end of the first vid, Fuji gets a little to confident with Ahi and she body slams her. After that Fuji ran to the "shiba area" for safety.

    ----

Bev - Its getting back to normal. We have to monitor Ahi and Lao tho, because they have had some issues. Seems Loa can dish out the "Shikokuness" but can't take it when its directed back at her.

    She looks so happy!!!!

Question. Lani seems to always be left out a bit in play. Is that just her personality? And BOY, was she having fun with Kona!!! I'm surprised he allowed it.

hahaha. Kona is such a stud. Look at him playing with all those beautiful women. ;-)

I'm sooooo happy to see Ahi back to herself. She looks like she's moving around really well. I didn't detect any issue with her gait. That's amazing!

I had almost forgotten how hectic Ahi's play is. She really is unique.

Great spam Brad. It really put a smile on my face. :-D

Dave - It's really pretty amazing, or maybe it isn't and its just common sense, but Ahi was regulating herself for the first few days. She would run but not full throttle, she would hold back on turning a lot too while running. It seems, as she builds up her muscles, she slowly gets a bit more crazy. Its interesting. I would say she is close to 100% now.

Oh and, yea, she is crazy hectic. Ahi doesn't do ANYTHING half-ass.

Barbara - Lani is a lot like Hilo, they just like to chill. Every now and then she'll get crazy and play, but she prefers to watch or just play with one dog. As it gets cooler here [it drops to the 40s now at night], she is getting a bit more playful - Hilo too.

    ----

Osy - You hit the nail on the head! She is a total masochist!

That video shows a key difference between Shikokus and Shibas. I can't think of any Shiba that would not flip out if four dogs were ganging up on it at one time.

It's great to see her running outside.

You gotta love Ahi videos!! And her Bruce Leeing all the other pups is a classic!
Do you think Loa forgot how it is to have another Shikoku around?

So Brad- What do the newer pack members think of this 'new' Ahi to them? She has been on the mend for so long!

that is so interesting to watch, the are endlessly educational and entertaining.

Brandon - That's funny, when I posted this I was thinking about how bad that situation would have ended if that was Maui they all ganged up on. When we see Maui start his morning freak out running all around the yard both Jen and I go out there as backup so he can run to us and we can prevent the other pups from tackling him. He is so fast, and small, when he does this it ignites all of the dog's prey drive.

Really tho, most of our dogs would freak if they got ganged up on like that. It just takes a very dog-confident dog to allow that type of thing to happen.

    ----

Rachael - Fuji is really the only pup that didn't have a lot of Ahi interaction, but she LOVES Ahi. Izyda told me that Fuji was her Shikoku's best buddy in Poland, so she knows the "Shikoku way".

    ----

Rui - Yep, she is really having a hard time accepting Ahi back into the mix. They have gotten into it a few times, tho they seem to be getting better now.

Wow. I totally fell out of my chair laughing at the end of the first video when Lani has her way with Kona... Too funny. :)

And I am super glad that Ahi is back to full strength, I love watching her run and play.
