edited September 2008 in General
Okay, so this is a popular thread on another site I go to. I'm always without a clue as to what I want to make for dinner. So I visit this thread over there to get awesome ideas.

So now I put the question to you guys..........What's for dinner?

I go to the shelter on Thursdays after work, so I don't have time to cook anything that takes too long. I'll probably make eggs of some sort when I get home. Egg mcmuffin type things or maybe an omelet.

I LOVE omelets. Western Omelets to be exact! The hubby actually hooked me when we were dating because he made the BEST breakfast for dinner. (WEstern omelet, fried taters, bacon, and toast.) I knew our love would last from that moment on! hahaha

I'm not feeling so well today, gonna leave work early. I think tonights dinner will be chicken noodle soup. Not sure what the hubby and rugrats will have. It might end up being a "fend for yourself" kind of night. The kids LOVE those nights. They'll probably end up with spaghetti O's and a sandwhich. Either that or the hubby will make something.

Soup night for us tonight - part of our diet is to eat soup 2 nights a week for dinner.

Last night we had Turkey burgers - Jen makes GREAT turkey burgers with onion and pepper mixed in. We went in on a 1/2 bag [few pounds] of fresh roasted New Mexican chillies from a local organic farmer - Jen used those for the burgers... it was great. :o)

My parents came over, as usual when we are both at work, to walk Kuma in the afternoon and they decided to stay and cook dinner for us. We had a great fish rice with salmon, squid, crab sticks, limpet and probably something else I don't even remember. They eve brought some good wine. And since they were here for a few hours, they did some cleaning and took Kuma out a few times.
I don't think I'm over reacting when I quote Nat saying my parents are saints.

We went out to dinner. I had spinach and arugula salad with olives, pine nuts, and a smoked tomato vinaigrette. Then a black bean burger with rye bread, avocado, field greens, and tomato. Jay had a seitan "steak and cheese". Super tasty.

Tomorrow night homemade minestrone. Which we will eat for probably 3 or more nights...

Jessica... You just made me hungry again.

I had a yummy pre-prepared spinach and baby romaine salad with some roasted almonds, green peppers, chickpeas, and balsamic vinaigrette. That was it, it has been a hectic day. Maybe tomorrow (if it is not raining) we will have some veggie burgers on the grill.

Well, I'm feeling a bit better this morning. Not so stuffy and less "sore". I'm trying to think ahead to what I want for dinner so the hubby can set out any meat we might need.

I'm thinking either spaghetti and meatballs or Penne pasta with Italian sausage and peppers OR chicken on the grill. Not sure which it will be.
