Hanzo has a new friend!

edited October 2008 in Shiba Inu (柴犬)
As you may remember, my friend lost one of his Shibas, Yuri, a few weeks back. As far as we know right now it was a freak genetic disorder with her liver that caused it to rupture and bleed. Very unfortunate, and not something that has shown up in her family line before. The breeder was obviously upset about this, as she loves all of her dogs and takes pride in the quality Shibas that she produces. She recently brought in a new puppy that she is going to watch grow and possibly breed once down the road, she asked my friend Daniel if he would like to give her a home.

Daniel has named her Tsukiko, and while he has not 100% committed to her yet, I'm pretty sure he is going to keep her. The reason he is not 100% is because he is just making sure that Hanzo wants her to be there too.

Anyhow we went over to visit last week and I took some pictures. Nemo did not get to go because nobody wanted to watch him eat a puppy.

Tsukiko is a total spitfire, she has the devil in her for sure. She is going to be a handful of a puppy, but she is very sweet too.

She's adorable! And it looks like she's well adjusted already. Seems like Hanzo doesn't mind her being around either. :-)

Brandon...your pics are amazing! Teach me your magic! ;)

She's SO adorable. Shiba pups look like fox kits, just the cutest little things with a naughty look...like you know they have a fiery soul. :) ~

Thanks for the comments everyone. Those two are still getting along great. Apparently though they like to start dual howling/screaming when Daniel is gone. One neighbor was concerned that one of the dogs might have been trying to kill the other, and Daniel said "No, they are in their crate's, just making noise".
