Mylie?? A cuddler?? I must be dreaming!

She never ever EVER has been a "cuddler" which is fine by me; I love her independence, but sometimes wish she'd mellow out and relax with me on the couch at night. Last night we finally finished painting our living room, and for the first time in months our tv was hooked up. Now, we rarely watch tv, in those past few months I barely noticed it was never on.
So we click it on last night after noticing there was a show on about how dogs have changed the world... Mylie is instantly intrigued. She sat on the floor at my feet memorized by the dogs on the television. She kept running behind the tv, trying to figure out how to get to them!
After spending some time confused, but unable to tear herself away, Mylie hops up on the couch; SITS ON MY LAP, makes herself comfy and continues to watch the tv! I had to laugh at her, this is completely unlike my little monster, but it was nice to cuddle for a change!
So we sit for about an hour, both of us dozing off while Cory is in the bathroom getting ready for bed. When he's finished, he comes and sits on the couch, filled with jealousy. So I get up to brush my teeth, and Mylie follows me. Daddy is super jealous now, and is trying to get Mylie to cuddle with him while I'm gone. Soon enough I return, and Mylie hops right back in the same spot in my lap. :) I'm going to be watching tv more often!

Don't be fooled by the boring"ness" of this video, what happened here made my night:

Very cute! I've never had Lucy get comfortable *in* my lap, but she curls up against me on a daily basis. Joey, well, let's just say he thinks he too macho. ;-) Enjoy it!

Looks like a nice night on the couch for you and Mylie.

Nemo has laid by me to watch TV once! It was the second night we had him, and he came up and spooned with me laying on the couch. It hasn't happened again in 3.5 years. Maybe it was his way of accepting his new home, I don't know, but I'll never forget it.
