Hiking with the Akita girls - SPAM
Today Jen and I took Lani and Fuji for a hike on the Elliot Barker trail, by Apache Pass. It was a really nice day for a hike, we enjoyed it. This was a short hike since the Akita girls are young and can't do the long hikes.
Now that Lani is more stable from her Thyroid meds. we are trying to get her out and socialized as much as possible. She did really well and really seemed to enjoy it.
Fuji on the other hand... Well she enjoyed it a bit too much. She found some animal feces and decided to rub/role on it. so in these pics the dark marking on her face are from poo. \

We found some snow:
Good shot of Fuji's poo face:

The Kona pic is awesome. He's so... dark.
Fuji is cute, naughty, but cute Besides! Shouldn't it be her mother & father's fault for not keeping her away from the poo ;p lol
Awesome spam Brad! Thanks! ~
And I agree with Dave, Lani is beautiful. Fuji is as well, but there is something I just love about Lani.
Ahi, Kona and Lani also got baths. Ahi really needed it, she felt rough to the touch from rolling in the mud. Also, this was Kona's second bath [ever] and come to find out he is soft and kinda fluffy!!! )

Showering Josephine has become a regular part of the ritual after going to the dog park... too much doggie slobber, mud, "stickers" from the fall plants, etc. We always notice that her fur is soft and fluffy afterwards... She loves the post-shower rubdown with the towel, so seems to tolerate the shower part of it because she knows what's coming next. Only thing is, usually my husband has to pick her up and carry her into the shower. Can you spell stubborn?!?
You have great looking trails close to you.
The sunset pictures are just stunning. So who is up for a trip to Brad and Jen's for some hiking and sunsets???
