GREAT evening at the dog park!!! (SPAM)

This evening we took Honey to the local Dog Park and we all had a WONDERFUL time! There were MANY well behaved dogs there ( and a few not so well behaved! lol) Honey did SO WELL! She greated all the dogs calmly and politely. She found a few dogs that she REALLY played well with and just kinda stuck with them.

Let's see.....a run down of who was there.....There were several well behaved Labs. SUPER SWEET! There were two Australian Sheep dogs, one was a 4 month old pup and was scared of all the dogs except Honey. They got along GREAT. There was a standard Poodle. It was the biggest trouble maker! When a German Shepard arrived the Poodle went NUTS!!!! The poodle started a few fights. :( There was a puggle. (poor thing) There was a Beagle and Jack Russle mix. This was Honey's BFF the whole time she was there!!! They played SO GREAT togther!!! The JR mix played alot like a shiba. lol Then there was a dog that I'm not sure WHAT it was. It almost looked like it could be a Nihon Ken. but since I'm so new to the world of Nihon Ken....I wasn't sure. (It's the all white dog with the curled tail in the pics)

I had SUCH a great time. I'm so happy Honey behaved so well!!!

Sorry my pics suck. Ihave a standard digital camera and it's not so great on action shots! HAHAH

Brad, any idea about the big white dog???

    It could be a Kishu.

    White-haired german sheperd?

Great pics! I'm glad she had a blast! She seems like a model shiba citizen - I'm sure she got a lot of attention. Nice dog park!

and I doubt Kishu - they are way rare.
It looks more like a white husky:

One of my neighbors has a dog that looks almost exactly like that. Unfortunately, they don't know what breed she is either. :-(

Looks like Honey had a blast!

Side note; LOVE Australian shepherd :D ~

I thought maybe a Husky Shepherd mix.

Not furry enough to be samoyed, doesn't look like it has a thick double-coat...I would say a cross between a breed of spitz and a shepherd, too.

Yay for Honey! She looks like she had a blast! My kids would love a dog park like that! Im still searching for a good, secure place for them to romp.

The big white dog looks like a Husky mix to me. I had two huskies and they are built the same.

I'm with Jessica, it's a Husky mix, most likely with a Shepherd.

It's great that Honey had a good experience at the dog park. I've met more than a few standard Poodles that have caused trouble at the dog park, sometimes pretty serious.

We have a poodle in my neighborhood that performs the most vicious BARK-bys. Poodles are truly a breed of their own...

    Bark-bys - Love it!

Thanks guys. The more I think about it, the more I seem to remember the white dog having the one blue eye thing going on.......so husky is probably right! lol

Yes, Honey is getting SUPER BIG! hahaha She's up to 19 pounds already. I wonder what she'll top out at?

Honey made two new BFF's this trip!! The Aussie and the Jack Russel. The three of them didn't play together.....but Honey would run from one to the other. She ended up playing with the Jack the most though. I really love our Dog Park, I just wish they had sections. ya know, a "large dog" section, and a "small dog" section.

That stinkin Poodle wouldn't stop barking for all the treats in the world!!!! lol And everytime things got calmed down, she'd start it all over again. UGH! It got so bad at one point that the german shepard attacked one of the silly Labs. The owner of the poodle and the german shepard didnt seem to care too much, but the owner of the Lab was several yards away and was making her way over to the ruckus. My husband was standing near so he broke it up. All he had to do really was snap and say NO to the poodle and then the shepard stopped. ?????? lol

Over all it was a GREAT day at the dog park! I plan on making it a regular thing. :D

an intact male standard poodle was the reason we stopped going to one of our dog parks. Horrible behavior.

I hope Honey has some playdates with her two new buds soon!

Seems like a lot of fun!
It's very good Honey can have a good time around other pups.

We talked to the owner's of the Jack Russel and we are gonna meet up next Weds at the same time. I would REALLY like to get together with the Aussie. She was a precious pup. Young and nervous of the big guys.....but she played SOOOO well with Honey. No rough play....just tag. I hope we see her there again so we can set up playdates.
