It's been a while since I've visited the forum so I've got lots of photos to share! Most are of Jiro my boy out and about, and at his first show. The brindle is my mothers girl puppy Kinu.
Brad, Kinu came from Tycon Akitas in Wales, I bought her for £50 from a lady who bought her from a man who found her in the street (at about 9 weeks old!) and was going to drown her if he couldn't find a good home for her. I got in touch with Tycon and sent photos and they said she was one of theirs but they sold her as pet with no papers (I had heard a lot of bad things about Tycon, but that surprised me!) and wouldn't help me further. Since then they have completely ignored my emails. Anyway, my plan was to buy her and find a real home for her, someone who understood the breed, but my mother fell in love with her and decided to keep her. My mother wasn't really looking for a dog, but Kinu and her have such a strong bond, so I think it was meant to be!
WOW. Such beautiful pups!! Kinu is so lucky to have found your mother. I seriously can't stop looking at your pix. Please send more along as often as possible. It feels like there are so few of us with Akita's. I get so happy and excited seeing Akita pix.
Gosh they are both so beautiful. I am so glad to hear that you mom saw the beauty of the brindle girl and took her in! The stinking breeder didn't give a crap about the girl makes me ill.
Good to let it be known.
Yea, that is a sad story about Kinu, but it has a really nice ending. Tell your mom thanx for us [from all us dog lovers], and thanx to you as well for helping her out. )
I whispered this quote to Jessica, but it fits this situation too:
"Your life is only worth the life you are willing to save."

And a prizewinner. too -- congrats!
& Kinu is very pretty, I love brindle akita so much ~
Don't be a stranger!
The brindle girl is good looking too, what kennel is she from? She almost looks like she could be from Izyda in Poland. (???)

P.S. His mask reminds me of Rui's Kuma.

Enjoy and keep the photos coming!
