We are switching our Akita and Kona off Origen.

Our dogs have always had some gas. They stink up our office all the time when we are in here. We recently started keeping track of who is in the office when it stinks.

We have come to the conclusion that the 3 Akita and Kona are the culprits. We switched Hilo and Kona to California Natural: "Herring & Sweet Potato Adult" and continued monitoring the stickiness.

We found that Hilo and Kona don't stink anymore, we originally thought it was only them that were stinking the office up, but now we see the Akita girls are stinking it up too.

So we have decided to, officially, switch all the Akita and Kona to California Natural: "Herring & Sweet Potato Adult" instead of Orijen.

We would still much rather feed Orijen, but it doesn't seem to work well with our broader chested dogs. The Shikoku and Shiba, on the other hand, do great on Orijen so we plan to keep them on it.

Just thought I would let you guys know, in case it was helpful to anyone [Rui]. :o)

    Thanks Brad!
What Orijen were you feeding, the "normal" or the fish?

We were feeding them the normal Adult Orijen - we are still feeding the Shikoku and the Shiba the normal Orijen.

Orijen gave Portia and Ninja HORRIBLE gas. After the first bag, I had to switch them...it was getting seriously deadly!

I'm getting a 13,5Kg bag of Orijen Puppy Large delivered tomorrow at work. I'll start the transition tomorrow, with 10 to 15% of Orijen and see how it goes.
I remember Nyx had nostril burning stinkers when she was on Orijen.

We were ok with Kona and Hilo's gas, we could deal, but add 2 more Akita to the mix and it is just too much.

our shibas had pretty bad digestion issues - mainly gas - on orijen, and it made Tsuki break out in hot spots from the chicken content, so we've been giving them Wellness Core Ocean a few times a week when I don't have time to prepare - they all do super well on it. I really like it.
