Peggy still hasn't emailed me back. It's been almost 3 weeks. ;_; What do you think I should do? I'm going to email her again tomorrow or Friday I think. Even if she doesn't think I'm suitable I at least want to know.
I told Mike about Benjiro. I'm pretty sure he would be a much better fit considering my current life situation. I'm a little sad to be honest, but at the same time I'm really excited. I hope Mike does get him.
I got to talk to Peggy on the phone tonight, she really is great to talk to! Turns out Ben is actually 4 years old - she took him back from a "breeder" when she found out he had been pretty much kept in a crate for 9 months of his life. He's fearful of strange people and dogs, but she says he is very manageable. She hasn't been actively looking for a home for him, but would place him if the right one came along. She suggests I go visit Katja and make sure the Shikoku is right for me.
It sounds like Brad put in a good word for me. :) Peggy wants me to contact her again closer to May (when I'm done the school year).
I am excited! But it will be at least five months from now, so I'm trying to keep calm. :)
I still have to think about whether I am the right person to take him on - it will take continual effort to provide him with a happy life and keep him relatively stress-free.
Peggy sounds super busy! She mentioned that she is moving soon, and she works two jobs! Between that and her family and her pups, it's a wonder she manages to answer emails at all.
I found out what was up with her site too. She switched providers a long time ago, but didn't transfer her information to the new host. I guess the old one just ran out, so she's in the process of redoing her site.

Doesn't hurt, and just tell her what you told me, all you want to do is know if you're right for the pup, and you understand if you aren't. ~
