His mobility is the same. His energy level is higher with the added weight tho. We are only talking like 5lbs of gain at this point. He need another 5lbs before we can start really looking into treatment for his hips. With Jen out of town I am struggling to get him to eat his full meals so I hope that we don't go backwards a bit during this transition.

We have an appointment in a few weeks for him, it's purpose is to see if he is at the point where he will be ok for hip surgery. I'll keep everyone posted.

Kahuna is so gorgeous. He does look a bit beefier!
Auntie Chrystal sends him a nice rub of his chest fur for affection, bravery and fortitude!

How is Kahuna doing now? He is a very handsome guy. I hope that the doctors are/were able to help him.

He is doing really well, he has put on weight and is filling out nicely.

His hips are horrible, the doctor says he now has enough weight on him that to safely do the surgery. So now it's time for us to figure out how we will pay to have that done (he needs a full replacement for both hips).

I'm glad he's doing well gaining weight.

I know I never like to put things on credit cards myself, but when Merlin was sick the hospital told me about "CareCredit". I opened an account with them and it was no interest for 24 months.
