It's not Rakka's fault!

Isaac's taken to blaming others for his misfortunes. For instance, he'll trip over a toy, then come to me and tell me that "Daddy pushed him" even if Daddy wasn't anywhere near him at the time. I find it particularly funny that his favourite scapegoat is Rakka. He blames her for almost everything! This morning he blamed her when the tower he was building fell over, despite the fact that she was across the room sleeping. Then he accidentally hurt his finger, and started crying, "Rakka, don't! Rakka hurt my finger!" LOL

A kid's POV of the world is so fascinating. Do you think it's jealousy? Surely he's not thinking that Rakka's getting attention that he'd like for himself?

I don't think so. If he's jealous of anyone, it's Matea. I don't think I'll understand half the stuff he does. The other day, he was talking on the phone with his bum. ("Hello, bum? This is Isaac. How are you? Good! You're my bum!")

Hahaha! Just as long as his bum doesn't talk back (Jim Carey style)...

HA, Heidi. I used to nanny a little girl and she blamed EVERYTHING on their cat. During potty training she would have accidents and she would tell me "I didn't make it to the potty because Jasmine was using it". :)

LOL! That is really funny Heidi!!!

So, is it generally easy going to live with your kids and the dogs?

My friends daughter pinched her finger on something (not sure what it was, but got the general impression she wasn't supposed to have it). I am in my room, nowhere near them. I hear her tell her mom "Amber hurt me. She pinched my finger mommy!!" My friend starts laughing and then corrected with a "she can't hurt you from the other room - and you had better stop playing with that." It kind of cracks me up when they go through that stage, though it is also sometimes frustrating. My sister's kids have all gone through or are going through that stage. She sometimes has trouble sorting out what really happened from what didn't.

As soon as I saw the title I new it was Isaac! That is so funny. I still do that. If I bump into the table I say it bit me...

I remember my brother going through that stage. At the time, we didn't have a dog, so instead he blamed everything on his stuffed monkey Bobo.

    That's too cute!

I blame things on Kurt all the time. Just today, I mentioned my elbow hurt and I couldn't figure out why. He said it was probably because I was sleeping in a 'thinker' position. So of COURSE I blame my aches on him. Why didn't he move my arm???? I also get mad at him when I dream something bad an he's involved. 'Why did you have dinner with that girl in my dream????? Where did you go afterwards????'

LMAO @ Barbara. I blame Errik all the time for things like that...or the cats :P

Silly Issac, do all kids go through that stage?

Awwwww! Of course it's Rakka! When he goes to school he'll also say "The dog ate my homework! Rakka did it! But if you don't believe me you can call my bum."

lol Adorable. I like this stage kids go through :) ~

I was thinking today why he picked Rakka and it might actually be because she's his favourite. I'm not sure if that makes any sense, but I do think Rakka's his favourite of all the pets. When we're out somewhere and he wants to go home, he usually says, "I want to go home and see Rakka..." and her name was the first he said of all the pets. He was saying Rakka before he was saying Mommy!

Ok, that is just too cute!

It's funny what kids think is funny. I was at my friends apartment. Her daughter, Lyla was having a hell of a time saying the word poop. Seriously, about 45 minutes of nothing but poop. LOL.
