Happy Thanksgiving!

edited November 2008 in General
It's officially past midnight over here on the East Coast, so Happy Thanksgiving all! Whether you're in the States or not!

Be safe, try not to kill the relatives, & eat your hearts out! :)

Be thankful for all you have [ love, friends, family, food, etc. ] & all that you don't have. [ sickness, disease, starvation, poverty, etc. ]

& Most of all be safe & try to have fun :D !~

Happy thanksgiving in 3 hours :P

I still haven't tried deep fried turkey or a turducken *pouts*

Unless I'm trying one of those, I refuse to eat turkey lol.

Happy Thanksgiving to all! This is by far my favorite day of the year and I can't even tell you how excited I am. I woke up extra early so I could walk the pups and have some quiet time before the rest of my family gets up and the craziness starts.

I hope everyone enjoys today as much as I'm going to!!!!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving! I'm so glad to be a meat eater today! My mother in law SAID she was attempting Turducken but has chickened (ha) out and opted to fry the duck and bake the turkey. So at least we'll get duck and turkey.
I'm making sweet potatoes, apple pie and green bean casserole!

    Happy thanksgiving!
I think I have been waiting for this for a month!
Made my grandma's pennsylvanian dutch stuffing, pumpkin pie, cream cheese coffee cake and cranberries yesterday and now the turkey is in the oven and a breast in the crock pot. All that is left is the potatoes, corn and bread!
My mom made omelets with the coffee cake for breakfast and now time for a nap!
    And then tomorrow...decorate for x-mas!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful, relaxing and stuffed day!

Happy Turkey Day, all. We always get two Thanksgivings because my parent's and my in-laws live 4 hours away from one another and my MIL has several people attending her Thanksgiving. So...today, I cook Duck (don't like turkey). We're also having stone crab and veggies. On Saturday, we have a traditional Thanksgiving, but I mostly have STUFFING. YUMMY.

Happy Thanksgiving!! Today is really special for our family but due to Tim's schedule, we haven't been able to spend it with our families since 2004. We thought we were going down to S.C. this year but with Chloe and Tim's work (again!), we couldn't make the drive. So, we decided to give the day to the dogs! We wore sweatpants and cuddled on the couch with our pups. And they even got a special Thanksgiving dinner:

    Salmon Roll:

Chloe scarfed hers down in three bites but Ryu was NOT a fan :) He licked all the pecans off and then barked until we removed the bowl from his crate LOL

We're having dinner at the in-laws house. Haven't had our Thanksgiving lamb yet, but I'll just say this, Screendoor, 1....Ichi, 0. LOL

Tsuki came to our dinner yesterday and was such a good little gal. She only got to chase a cat and eat sweet potatoes but she still was tired when we came home!

Thanksgiving was awesome for us! SO MUCH FOOD! Deep Fried Turkey was DELICIOUS! Sauteed Mushrooms, Sauteed Green beans with bacon, Cream Corn - YUM! Mashed Potatoes and Gravy! Ham and Pot Roast - and of course PIE! There were 7 pies! I had eaten so much I got the worst stomache ache! We came home and changed into our pj's and finished the night by watching movies on the couch. BTW - this was the FIRST time in 6 MONTHS that we left the pups at home for more than 4 hours (they were alone for 8 hours yesterday). I thought Portia would die because it seems like she has to go out every 3 hours. But - no messes. But...when I let her out of the crate, she started sprinkling (something she hasn't don't since she was a puppy! and then ran outside and unloaded haha. poor thing.
