Keikos discovers her cuz!

She's had this darn toy forever and never showed any interest in it... that is until today when she realized it squeaks!! Belle likes to just sit and lick the cuz, but Keiko is trying to use it as a new form of communication now lol.

    The funny thing is there's another one sitting right next to my desk... not to mention the two turtles (made by the same company) floating around here... but they insist on taking the orange one from each other! LOL

    I have learned that no matter how many you have of something...the shiba will want what the other dog has. Other dogs too of course but Shiba's are psycho! We buy 2 of things KNOWING that it will still not matter.
    That is pretty accurate for my household.

    LoL that's SO true!!! The funny thing is that Belle usually doesn't care for toys... unless there's food involved. She'd much rather be sitting on your lap or buried in her mountain of blankets :o)

    So cute! We usually buy two of everything... But they always want what the other one has. Even if they have the same thing. With treats, Bella will gobble hers up and then try and take Nola's. Pretty funny to watch.

    That was awesome Evan! Aside from the obvious cuteness (especially when she looks up at you with that forlorn expression asking for help), the status relationship between the two of them was fascinating to watch. Belle could claim the toy from Kieko, but for Kieko to get it back she had to grovel. Really cool videos man!

    Sasha will WAIT until Niko finishes to even start her treats. Sasha truly is a bully sometimes, and then growls at Niko for whining and talking because she wants Sasha's treat.

    Osy, I know!!! I was just telling James the other day that it's SO weird to think that Keiko couldn't get on the couch at one point and that's how Belle would get away from her when she was done playing!! Now Belle just finds a place Keiko can't fit into lol :o)

    They are quite the pair... I never thought I would be able to 'tell' when dogs liked each other, but I know these two are best friends and co-conspirators :o)

    It is super cute that Keiko is submissive to Belle, even though she's about three times bigger now.

    I love seeing all the forum pups grow up! But it makes me just a little bit sad for some reason too :o


    Ha! I can see Belle wiggling into a small crevice & being ike, "HA! Can't get me now!" I love it :)

    They are comrades in arms against their daddies; how to get toys & treats when you guys aren't looking ;) ~

    The funny thing (for me) is that Keiko is still SO tiny compared to our neighbor Jimmy (the red shiba). Today I saw the couple with Jimmy on a walk... and I was SO happy to see that they adopted an adult black and tan - he's SO cute and friendly, but both of them are about twice the size of my peanut. I guess she's only 8 months so she could/should/might? get bigger?

    That's hilarious! Mika squeaks a litt;e fuzzy santa she has repeatedly like that when she finds the right spot. Keiko's fit is priceless, lol.

    Keiko might not get any bigger. I'm not sure if Tsuki got any bigger after 8-9 months. I think she filled out some then went back down to a normal looking dog size. But females should be smaller than males - and the variations of shibas around these days is incredible!

    I second Jen. Females tend to be smaller than males, anf there are so many size differences amongst shiba nowadays, I'd be surprised if she got bigger / taller. Though she might still fill-out some. :) ~

    I like being little :o) I just thought she would be more along the size of her parents, but I guess nature does what it want to do!
