The PERFECT photo day (LOTS of spam)

edited December 2008 in Shiba Inu (柴犬)
As LJ mentioned, yesterday was the Atlanta shiba meetup. The weather was just amazing for a meetup and I couldn't help myself. Since I'm at school and can upload photos in seconds (instead of the hours it takes me at home), I just dumped all the well-framed in-focus shots on Picasa here.

These are some of my favorites. Most of them are of Joey playing with X because, well, Joey played pretty much non-stop while I had the camera out.

This is Charlie getting some love. I like the expression on the BTs face.

This is Joey playing with Thor(?) a very happy go lucky but totally rude bull dog. He had the greatest expression on his face while playing!

Joey and his buddy Quin, the American Eskimo. Note Joey's paw on Quin's nose.

Like I said, a LOT more in my picasa album.

Great photos. Thor was the name of the rude bulldog.

BTW, I stole one of your photos from picasa and put it in Jazz's thread.

It was Windy and a little cold, but it was a good day. Our next 2 meetups will be indoors - I've almost got them set.

Thanks guys! I had a blast taking the shots. The lighting was just perfect and the park was small enough that the dogs were never really out of range. Some of them got a tiny bit over-exposed. I should have dialed down the FEV, but I'll know for next time. I'm still figuring things out as I go.

I'm hoping Santa has a new lens for me that is more appropriate for indoor meetups. :-)

Oh, I should add those have not been edited yet. I just knew it was going to be a while before I got to them so I figured I post a few that didn't need much touching up anyway.

I think I am offended! You stopped taking pics when we got there. Are my girls not pretty enough??
    LOL
Chad asked me which one was Joey...I told him the one that is the size of an Akita. Joey was great!

I hope Santa does, too! We are trying for 1 of 2 places - MerryMac in Marietta or Loving Touch, Animal Wellness & Fitness close to Piedmont.

Whichever one can't do January, we'll go there in February. Then, we'll be back to being outside. Both of those meeting rooms have white walls, so no major yellow cast like before!

LJ-I dont think I want to drive. Do them all in Stone Mountain! ; )
Im glad you are planning on indoors. No newborn here going to an outdoor meetup.

Jan is usually our coldest month, so I figured that was a definite and Feb has a 50/50 chance of being nasty, so....

I say do them in Walton County, but we have no dog parks. The one in Marietta is for those guys in Cobb county so that they won't have to drive quite as far. We'll probably do the March one at Pinckneyville again.

Hehe. Sorry Rach. I got a bunch of you guys coming into the park, but they were just a mess of people and dogs. Nothing discernible or interesting. At that point I decided I should stop being anti-social and talk to people.

Next time arrive on time and you'll get plenty of pics. :-P

    Great photos!
You really got some very funny and interesting moments there! The Eskimo sequence is probably my favourite.

I love the faces that bulldogs make when they play, or just in general really. Boston Terriers too, I tried to adopt a Boston before I went for a Shiba, but the rescue just never got back to me.

Joey and Charlie look like they have a great time together.

Joey is winking at us, how precious.

Thanks for the photos! Lucy looks great. Jazz is so stylish in her coat and Joey looks like Iron Man.
