A Miso And Sake Update (Plus Spam)
Just thought now that the crazy holidays are over I would post a little update on my furkids.
Miso:
Miso is doing great as always. He has become such a cuddle bug and spends at least a good 30 minutes on the couch with me just cuddling each night. I really enjoy our special time together, even though Chris and Sake call him a "momma's boy". :P He is still on the small side, about 20.5lbs. He LOVES LOVES LOVES the snow and will stay outside all day if I let him. It's been pretty cold and icy though so his outdoor time is limited. He still wants to go to the beach every night on his walks where the wind is twice as strong and it's twice as cold, but it's the only place he deems worthy of his poop, so we oblidge. He is in love with Sake and has started to play a little rougher with her now that she is growing. I have been giving Miso fish oil and what an improvement! His coat looks great and he seems to have great energy. Im really happy with the change in food and supplements, they have helped 100%.
Miso now knows the following commands: Sit, Stay, Back Up, Paw, Other paw, Down and we are working on Roll Over and his recall although he is a shiba so that isn't so easy!
Sake:
Sake is a DRAMA QUEEN! She is getting big and she knows it. She is a constant source of entertainment and joy in our home. She is 5 months old now and weighs in at 13lbs! She is going to be bigger than Miso we think. She has the longest legs I have ever seen and she struts her stuff like she knows it! She can now jump on the chair, couch and bed herself, but would much rather be picked up...so of course she cries until someone lifts her onto the bed, etc. She screams when she wants food, treats, toys, play, pretty much everything...except potty. She does this cute little pee pee dance by the door to the backyard when she has to potty. She is getting REALLY great on walks and is able to keep up with Miso no problem. She is also used to her puppia harness and leash now so she is not as reluctant to walk. It's really great to take them both out now and see how well they walk together. Sake is also getting a fish oil supplement, she LOVES it.
Sake now knows: Sit, Stay, Back Up, Paw and we are working on her recall and her down.
Thats all from the Fontaine Household for now. Hope everyone is enjoying the first days of 2009!
Oh, one other thing I forgot...
The woman who is our controller at work has a daughter who is a Vet. She is opening her own vets office. She is an amazing animal lover and has been a vet for 10 years. She is finally going out on her own and I am glad to call her our new vet! (she would have been our vet before but the office she worked out of was far, her new office is really close to our office!) PLUS, I am building her website for her so she is going to do Sake's spay at no charge!
2009 is looking bright!
