    YAY for Honey Spam! She is getting big huh? How old is she now? I feel like I haven't seen pictures of her since she was a pup!

    Honey is 8 months now. She has gotten SOOO big! AND FLUFFY!!!!! I dont think you lcan really tell from the pics, but her rear end is SOOOOOO fluffed out now. I mean like....WOW! lol

    I love her honey eyes:). She is an adorable pup (I don't care how big, she's still a pup). Great job catching her in mid-lap on the Shiba 500!

    Katie, do you know how much she weighs now? It's so hard to tell from the pictures. All shiba's look huge to me, but then they turn out to be like 16lbs!

    I'm pretty sure she's a hefty 20 lbs already. Maybe something like 22 or 23? I didnt think she would get that big?

    Miso is 20.5 lbs now at 1 year old.

    Sake is hitting 14lbs almost now at 5 months. I think she is gonna be a BIG girl :) Although she will always be my dainty little girl. :P

    He is a stud in the momma's boy wimp sort of way :P

    Sake is adorable. She is crazy and dramatic and such a nut case, but we love her to death. I think she is gonna be about 22-25lbs full grown the way she is sprouting.

    Yes, they are my babies, now and always. I still cuddle Miso and call him my little baby love.

    Hmmmmm......you know more about the other shiba's on here than I do.....is that a typical trait? Do you think the male shibas are less "crazy" than the girls? I'm trying to go through the list of shiba's in my head! hahah

    I know this is sort of OT, but at what age do they generally hit their adult weight. Tetsu is 7.5 months, and he weighs in at 16.5 lbs

    it depends on the dog I think. Miso can be crazy when he wants to be. It's just not 24/7 like Sake.

    Honey is so cute! I can't believe how grown she's getting! She looks like she is ALWAYS playing :)

    About the adult weight, Ryu is 25.6 lbs at 15 months - I hope he's done! He feels like a such a beast! Roxy is a petite 12 lbs (Brad, Jen and LJ can attest to how teeny she is!)

    adult weight - I'd say when they are between 18-24 months they hit their potential

    Smaller dog breeds tend to mature at around 1 year, heightwise they should be done around then, but can "fill out" a little more :)



    When I met the shiba breeder at the dog show, she said the females tend to be more "bitchy" lol ~

    I thought females usually top out at about 18lbs?

    Honey NEVER stops playing. Even in her sleep she still runs around. Poor thing. LOL We can always hear her chasing SOMETHING in her sleep. And if I try a sneak attack with the camera ready to shoot......NOPE! She's too quick for that! Little bugger! lol

    BTW, since she's really fluffed out, she's now referred to in our house as...."Princess fluffikins" or "fluf-butt". :D

    Honey is adorable, even mid Shiba 500 she is cute. I love the looks on their face during the shiba 500's, so determened to RUN!

    according to the AKC website the standard is "Size, Proportion, Substance
    Males 14½ inches to 16½ inches at withers. Females 13½ inches to 15½ inches. The preferred size is the middle of the range for each sex. Average weight at preferred size is approximately 23 pounds for males, 17 pounds for females. Males have a height to length ration of 10 to 11, females slightly longer. Bone is moderate. Disqualification--Males over 16½ inches in dogs and under 14½ inches. Females over 15½ inches and under 13½ inches."

    We call that Ryu's "J. Lo" When we have grooming sessions, I'm always saying "Ryu, let me get your J. Lo. Ok, turn around, need to get that J. Lo. RYU, come HERE, NOW" LOL

    LOL, has it REALLY been THAT long since the last Honey spam??? lol wow. As soon as they are done loading I have a few videos to post. Nothing special.....just honey hanging out in the snow.

    In the first video you can see some lights in the background. The road was super slippery and a car ended up in the ditch. We checked on the driver and she said her hubby was on his way. Two minutes later the cop showed up and called a wrecker.
