Honey's New Toy!

We went to the pet store today and while we were there I found this great new toy. My husband and our daughter HATE it while our son, Honey, and myself thinks it's the BEST TOY EVER! lol What do you guys think?


Notice the brief moment where Honey takes her attention off of the duck? My son was in the other room opening a bag of chips. lol

    OH! I forgot to mention....Honey now walks on the treadmill! She LOVES it. Whenever I would get on it she would watch me intently and after I was done she would inspect the treadmill and stand on it for a long time. So a few days ago I figured I'd see if she would walk on it. Having her in the harness helped keep her in the right spot, and having lots of neat treats really got her moving. Now she walks on it without the harness and lead, and no need for treats! HOW AWESOME!!!!! :D

    Aw, she did such a great job of breaking it's little neck. What a good hunter.

    That's neat she learned the treadmill. Did you have to put side rails or wooden sides on the treadmill to keep her from going side to side and getting off? Did you initially hold the harness or tie it to the treadmill to have your hands free? I am just wondering how other people initally solved the problem of prematurlly jumping on and off.

    Yay! I love Honey spam. She really wants that duck dead huh? Cute about the treadmill, especially to burn off excess Shiba crazy energy! Miso gets 2 walks a day plus tons of playtime in the backyard and he still has energy to burn...maybe I will invest in a treadmill.

    The pause to look for where food is being opened is classic Shiba.

    Be careful with the treadmill, I've heard some scary stories..

    Lindsay, the way we taught her was I stood over her with my feet on the rails while I held her leash. One of the kids stood in front of her with some yummy treats. She caught on REAL quick. Now we dont use the harness OR the treats. I dont keep her on there very long at all....MAYBE a full two minutes? lol The only reason I even TRIED to get her on it was because she was SO interested in it while I was on it. I wouldn't use it to replace walks or anything, I was just curious if she would stay on it. I dont think she Once tried going off the side. lol (She'll do ANTHING for treats! LOL)

    Well, I think the duck is done for. :( Boy was THAT short lived. lol The poor things quack just isnt the same. I think Honey was able to puncture the latex and now the quack is super pathetic! LOL But Honey still likes throwing it around....so oh well!

    IT'S ALIVE!!!!!

    LOL Some how Honey's duck has risen from the dead. I dont know HOW but today the duck has it's quack back! LOL AND to top it off Honey found her lost cuz. So now I'm being treated to the sounds of both the duck AND the cuz! I'm SUCH a lucky mommy!!!!!

    LOL Good for the duck! He's risen from the dead. Mookie's cuz got banned from our apartment. We didn't want our neighbors to hate us too much. Plus it also saves us some headaches :)

    From We luv pets. It's the only pet store we have here in my little town. I had to put the cuz up last night. Honey wanted to chew on it in the middle of the night. UGH! lol I'll let her have it again when I got to work today!

    oh poor duck...no honey has done a great job..if mommy tells her to kiiiiilll this duck, her neck has to be broken several times :)

    in austria we have these chickenversions...but dont know if they make any noises

    little hint for these noisytoys if you dont like them: with a needle you can push inside the whistle...

    Sophia loves to play with these toys but she poorly reacts if another dog is whining cause she bites to hard.. so im doing some whining-training with her and these toys arent a big help for making her sensible :)

    LOL yeah, pretty much! And the funny thing is that I bought the damn thing AFTER seeing the videos of dogs playing with them. So I HEARD how annoying they are and STILL bought one! LOL BUt it IS fun to watch Honey go nuts with it. hahhaha

    AWWWWWWWWW!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!! LOL It's cute how she's taking her time with it. She's so calm with it!!! And I love how when you tugged on it she was like...."WHOA! MY DUCK!" LOL

    She's pretty funny about her toys, but she rarely tries to destroy anything other than the squeaker.
