coat blowing question

I am sure we have discussed this but I was just wondering, Miko is blowing her coat right now. I am just wondering, is she going to be warm enough out side during her coat blowing (it is on average 22F). Or should I be putting a coat on her? Moto never completely blew his coat he was fluffy year round (I think that is called a moss coat).

If she starts shivering then I would get a doggie coat. See how she does, some dogs adjust just fine.
Some young dogs first blow out really goes down to nothing. Do what you think is right and making sure she is comfortable.

Yeah, I think the generic answer of "keep an eye on her" is probably the best advice anyone can give. You'll know if she's cold. Although being a shika, and not a shiba, she will be less of a drama queen and may hide it a bit more.

Piggy is our house drama queen. If she decides it is too cold she will sit like a rock. No amount of coercion will get here to go in any direction other than towards home. OR she will pick up her bad leg and limp. As soon as we turn toward home however she will gallop the whole way. She is QUEEN of the drama queens!

Miso doesn't wear coat and is fine, Sake always wears her hoodie.

I LOVE piglet!!!! Give her a smooch for me!! (And one for Miko since she is the smooch QUEEN)

Definitely keep an eye on her. Though my 'Mama Italia' instincts tell me she needs a coat. You know why LOL.

I had a pit puppy that turned into a rock yesterday when I tried to take him out. I'm not sure how a 20lb puppy all of the sudden was immovable, but he was. We walked around inside though and he loved on everyone.

Nemo will do "princess paws" sometimes and look towards home, if we head that way he starts to run/trot happily. It's nice to know he isn't the only dog that drama queens his way out of walks.

My Kirby is blowing his coat now too. I thought it odd, as it is still wicked cold here!! Kirby is 8+ years old.
