The hills and the forest and the mystery shrine!
Mercutio and I went for a huge day walk into the hils around Nagoya on saturday. We had to walk for about an hour and a half to get to the hills but once there we spent a great time treking around the forest, up and down steep banks full of dried fallen leaves...We also saw half way up a small shrine, about the size of Mercutio that someone had built into the rock face. It had fresh mineral water dripping from the rock face and they had built a pipe into the rock where the water dribbled out! A perfect stop for a drink of water. As we entered the city again the sun was setting and I caught this photo of Mercutio against the sunset. All I can say was that it was great just to choose and direction and just walk for a day! To get home at the end.....well thanks i-phone GPS!!!
Sorry...photos just taken with my phone...

I am searching hard for an off lead dog park in Nagoya but have had no luck thus far...I would love to let him run free in the forest but...there are busy roads that run through the forest...also I might lose him! But it's nice to run with him!
Staticnfuzz: I don't think that there is a big significance but often in the mountains there will be little caves or under the roots of a tree where the tree has fallen over, there will be these little tiny shrines!! It'S fun to find one hidden in the forest...
Sounds like a near perfect day...(who wants perfect? then it can't get any better.)
Sounds like a wonderful day, and Mercutio has gotten so manly and handsome
Jess: I second that...SPRING NOW!
