Random Keiko Spam
Last night I turned on Lifetime to watch the Rosa Parks movie and got sidetracked in the office... I had forgotten Keiko was in the other room...
Much to my amazement when I walked through to refresh my beverage she was just sitting on the couch watching tv. She sat there through the entire movie! I ended up joining her for the last half hour or so - apparently she's really into history

Today on our walk the horses were out for the first time!! We always walk by this horse farm on our walks, but I've never seen the horses in the fenced area closest to the sidewalk. Keiko REALLY wanted to be friends with them, but we weren't so keen on the idea ;o)

How goes the tux hunt?
The first time Josephine saw a horse was when she was riding with us in downtown Minneapolis, on a summer evening. A horse drawn carriage (you know, those touristy rides on summer evenings) came through the intersection in front of us. She went ballistic barking at the horse. We were afraid the horse was going to bolt (although I guess he did stay pretty sedate) or Josephine was going to try to jump out, so we rolled up the window. Not sure if she has seen one since, but I think it would not be good to have her walk so near a horse fence!

I was actually nervous at first about taking Keiko near the horse fence, but then I remembered that the owners have a dog that's always in with the horses, so I figured they wouldn't spook too easily. Plus Keiko is pretty quiet about seeing other animals - it's the people she likes to howl/sing at ;o)
