This is a photo of the mom, I dont think I have any photos of the dad. I have their names written down around here somewhere.
Oh and this is the crate. I used the divider in the middle to shrink the size down and towels to make it a dark and cozy place. I have a doggy bed but it absorbs the pee and was not helping too much towards crate training.
Shes really a sweet girl!!! Sooooo goldig!!!! (german for hm .... i think its origins are related with this typical image of an angel (little kid, with blonde hairs and a ?golden - goldig? ring above the head) I never thought i would use this word for an akita :)
may i use one of the pics on my blog when im writing bout akitas?
Dl- 70lb akita on the couch no way.. but if Kaeda keeps with the practice of rolling on her back when any of my friends pet her -might be really odd seeing her do that at 70lbs.
Took Kaeda up for a walk at Del Cerro Park in RPV. My buddy came along with Mo his Australian Cattle Dog. The trail ended at one of the local schools with a big open field. Kaeda got to have some quality off leash time with Mo and Mo got to practice herding Kaeda. Sorry about the darkness in the photos - was not paying attention to my camera settings. Enjoy the spam..
It is worth the trip Lymura. There was a spot where the grass had grown up to above me knee. All you saw was a cattle dog walking and a little akita bouncing around to get a look. I wish I owned a video camera.
Just got back from another week in Mammoth -figured it is time for a photo update. Kaeda did not see as much off the leash time this trip. With the cows grazing in the meadows and Bow-Arrow Deer season starting, I felt that would not be a good idea. We did get chased out of the meadow the first morning by the cows(someone thought barking at a calf would be funny).

Looks so silly and innocent.

Such a beautiful girl! Thanks for sharing those photos!
Tude! She so does - I hope I do not loose those eyes when she gets older.

I've been dying to get my shiba down to Del Cerro and maybe walk the trail. It's beautiful there!

As you can see she is getting bigger:
so brindley gorgeous and soft, but big and active and outdoorsy.
What's that harness she's got on, there?
