I really think Oliver might feel a bit more secure with a social friendly dog around to show him the ropes. (The operative word "social calm dog" who likes people... Irritable dogs need not apply. LOL) Basically , dogs coming from your situation often learn a lot from the others in terms of what is ok in the human world.
