Puppy Personality Change?

edited April 2009 in General
We've been having such a great time with our new furbaby Katsu. She's extremely well behaved and super laid back, especially for a pup. I'm worried that it's too good to be true, or that she's gaining our trust while planning something horrible. She's almost 14 weeks old now. Did you guys notice your shiba under go a personality change at a certain age, or did they keep the same one the whole time?

Shiba personalities change CONSTANTLY as pups. Sake was a crazy spunky puppy, then she was a lazy laid back puppy, then she was a terrorist, then she became fearful of new people/men, and now she is still fearful but is becoming more lovey dovey.

Ryu went through multiple phases as well...he was a crazy lunatic between 3 and 7 months, then calmed down, then had another crazy spurt around 10 months, destructive and just plain bad, and now at 18 months he's like an old man lol....he also got really lovey dovey around 9 months... get ready for the roller coaster! : )

It really depends on the dog. Not a definitive answer I know but it really varies. No two are alike that's for sure.
Given where you pup is from and the lines I suspect you may always have a laid back animal. However, with that comes a caveat.....just when you think they are perfect the little stinkers will surprise you so always remain on alert when you have a Shiba. They all have their moments and phases that's for sure (LOL).
Usually as puppies they have a "distructo" period in their development but is differs with each dog at what phase will occur.
