MAD PTSD

edited December 2007 in Shiba Inu (柴犬)

If you dont know PTSD is post traumatic stress disorder.

I got a collar of bells for Niko for her first christmas.  This is now her 3rd.  We never used them last year.  I found them and as soon as we move them she tares into the other room.  Of course this is too tempting and we were chasing her earlier with them.  Shiba ears go back and she runs as far as she can.  Should I call animal control on myself?

We had a cat that was afraid of bells once, but we didn't know until we bought her a collar with a bell on it.  Poor thing!

My dog is not afraid of much, but she is mildly frightened by didgeridoos.

I think the all of the Northern Spitz breeds are pretty but specifically those from Japan and Korea.

Ok I will accept that answer!  You planning on owning one someday?  Ditto on the bullie breed lover comment Jess!

Well, I don't blame a dog for being scared of didgeridoos.

I'm impressed you can play a didgeridoo. That is a skill

I knew a guy in university who listened to cds just full of didgeridoo music.

By the way, I like bully breeds, too, but my dear husband won't let me have one. Cry  Of course, to be fair, I do want to own every dog breed that exists, so I can't fault him for putting his foot down somewhere.

How many dogs do you own? or is it vice versa?

Evan, you are right, Dutchies are sweetness in a basket!  Do you have one of them too?  I have one, they are nuts 24/7, crazy at all times, not happy unless they are working or running full speed for like 4 hours at a time, lol.

My friend and I make didgeridoos out of bamboo - I love them. I made one once out of PVC that had the deepest tone - it was so cool!
