I'm so excited!

The oncology department here recommends high protein, low carb diets for their cancer patients and have always told their clients to home cook or feed Aunt Jeni's, a raw frozen diet that we order and sell to them. Well, to my surprise when I was walking through our storage area the other day I see bags of Orijen and boxes of The Honest Kitchen sitting on shipping palates. I couldn't believe it! We are now carrying both diets and selling it to customers, which means I can order for my pups and get it at cost. Alright brace yourself: the 29lb bags of Orijen 6 Fresh Fish are......drum roll....$53.00!! The Honest Kitchen Embark 10lb boxes are $63.00.

Anyway, I'm excited that we are recommending those diets to clients, and some of the other employees are going to start feeding them too. Now, if all the other departments could recommend such fabulous foods to their patients....

That's really good news. It's refreshing to see vets starting to recommend good quality kibble and prepared raw, and not the typical "food".

    Good news!
It's time for Science Diet, Waltham/Royal Canine/IVD, Iams/Eukanuba to be back shelved or seriously modified.

That is awesome news!!! I wish our vet would carry something other than Hills/IAMS.

    That's awesome. :)

The oncology department at the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary College stood around reading our bag of Orijen 6-fish when we brought it in for Lantis when we had brought him there for a bout of bloat last year.. haha!
