Elbow Calluses

Sage has the very tiny beginnings of elbow calluses, his vet says that dogs can develop them even though they sleep on the couch and beds all the time. Certain ones are just prone to it. Having said that- I'd like to prevent them as much as I can- any ideas? Might rubbing vitamin E or something on them help?

I use Musher's Secret for their feet in the winter, Im sure it would help protect elbow skin too.

Bag Balm is also good for keeping the skin hydrated and would probably work in this situation as well.

Is bag balm of a thinner consistency than Mushers?

I haven't used Bag Balm in years...I can't remember if it is thinner or not :P

I think Bag Balm looks more like Petrolium Jelly while Mushers Secret is more "waxy"...if that makes any sense at all!
