  american akitas are a combination of the Dewa and Ichinoseki line akitas..

  Small hijack- GSD were use to cross breed the Akita to mask their background during WWII. This is documented in Akita written by the Japan Kennel Club INC. This is cited on page 52 and 61.

  lol Im not denying that but the dewa line was not the only line that came across after WWII Akitas of the Ichinoseki line also were exported and were bred with dewa in the US. Why do u think that the American akita comes in a variety of colors and different head/body types?
