demodex mange and Promeris?

Hi everyone

I recently took my dogs to the vet and they were diagnosed with demodex mange and were placed on promeris to treat it. Has anyone used promeris and how long it will take the treatment to work? I never had a dog with mange so i dont know how to deal with it. Im worried that it will get worse before it gets better even with the promeris. Any advise is greatly appreciated :)

Take her to the Vet first to make sure doesn't have ringworm, mange, fleas or a staph infection.

I'm not sure if you can prevent hot spots from forming. I would also suggest going to the vet. If it is hotspots they will give you a medicated spray that you can apply. Also if you catch them early you can treat them with a diluted mixture of apple cider vinegar and tee trea oil. Just rub it on with a cotton ball. There is also an oil called Neem Oil that you can rub on skin ailments.

I agree with the trip to the vet... since hot spots can be the skin's reaction to an allergy (insect, environmental or food) or an infection
