Ha! She is cute. I like how alert she is and how she prances through the water.
We have a lot of dock diving stuff in my area, I've just found out, so I think I'm going to give it a try with my future Kishu. They all seem to love the water!
I think this is a Kishu? The text wasn't too clear to me. This guy doesn't look like a Shikoku to me, tho, and looks too big to be a Hokka (correct me if I'm wrong! I'm still learning!)
@shishiinu - it's a really striking color no matter the breed. I think I might like the white and sesame more because most Kishu (especially the Japanese-bred dogs) have this very strong expression, to me--and I like it a lot. This picture probably isn't the best of this dog, so you can't see his expression well, but it was really cool to see the color--and even without seeing his expression well, you can see how focused he is just in his posture.
Gen's going to get her vetted soon to get her out to me. I've basically been looking at pictures of her and other Kishu every day. I don't have a problem. I CAN STOP ANY TIME I WANT.
@Crispy There is never a problem when it comes to NK photos. I'm glad you post all these interesting yushoku kishu photos and videos. (Oh, and once you get Nami, I hope there will be photos!)
It's funny reading back through this thread & then knowing @Crispy ended up with her . She is stunning! And I really love her build. I don't know much about Kishu but from the pics on this thread, colored Kishu seem to have a blocker build. I always liked the athletic look of the white ones & Nami has a build like them as well! Do you plan on breeding her?
@NavyDog - I think, if it's right for Nami and the right male comes along, I would breed her, for sure. It really just has to be a good match and I need to know it's ok for her.
We just got back from the repro vet who gave us good news, because I didn't know if I'd have to spay her or not (we didn't know if she was fertile). He gave her the a-ok.
@crispy--I predict that 2013 and 2014 will bring many changes into you life! Yea, fingers crossed that hopefully you will get the female kishu from taro x nami!!!!
I was looking back at this thread and found this hilarious and awesome. @ttddinh called it first.

"激レアの黒毛紀州犬。しかもいい犬です。黒の四国は今まで2頭見たことがあります。北海道犬にはもう少し数がいるようです。黒柴の写真を年賀状に使いたかったけれど、顔の表情がつぶれて分かり難く、良い犬の良い写真でなければ意味がないので諦めました。"

This guy is super fuzzy, but his head looks a little small to me? He's got a nice color though.

Found all these guys looking through a Japanese blog. All look to be taken at shows or meetups.
