Home Again, Shelters, & vets in the area have all been contacted.

We gave fliers out at the airport, including the police station inside. The Operations Supervisor has been notified & is also emailing her picture & letting all the airport staff know.
Thanks all. Jen and I are very very sad. I'm back from Orlando now, I'm afraid me being there didn't help any. I'm considering going back in a day, if I can.
Hopefully Mochi will be spotted again, so we could at least know that she is still at the airport.
And hopefully Jen is successful in getting some traps set up for her.
I am so sorry that this has happened. But luckily, you guys have hundreds of people behind you, willing to give you whatever support you need. You just let us know what it is that you need, and we will do our best to help.
The traps sounds like a good idea, especially if it resembles her old wire crate. Toss in an old dog bed from the Anderson pack and a shirt with Brad/Jen's scent on it.
i've been following this too and letting people know, we live a few hours away from orlando, but you never know! i hope you find her soon!! best of luck, we are keeping you in our thoughts
The airport isn't contained. There's a 5-lane highway that circles around the terminal / parking area. Then all the runways, & small lakes, are scattered everywhere in-between.
She could technically get out, but there's nothing around the airport for miles...just lakes, open fields, & forest... ~
I agree with Ann's idea, and if you get a general idea where Mochi is when sighed again then trapping certainly would be a good idea. Sometimes a dog can be a large for a long time but with some good PR and "spotters" it can help bring them in by better pinpointing the location. As a thought....Often in airport areas there are wildlife conservationists/biologists that do habitat studies. Although the area is vast and they may have reports on sightings. Probably Orange county has a Natural Resources Department or Environmental Resources Dept that maybe can guide one in the right direction for contacting specialists that do field work.
Thanks all for the advice and thoughts. I agree that traps are the way to go...
Jen has worked all AM with the airport, police, and animal control. They will be out there to set traps today! Also, she was spotted in the same area again yesterday... So that is good news.
Also frustrating as she was spotted in the area I was searching, so she was spotted in that area before and after I searched. I mean I searched it like crazy, crawling through bushes and stuff. So frustrating.
@StaticNfuzz - That's a really good idea. There are a lot of woods around there. I'll do some research. Thanks!
I'm originally from the Orlando area, and will be there tomorrow and over the weekend for thanksgiving. I'll send the facebook link to all my friends who still live there.
Fundraiser to buy Brad a ticket for a second search trip to Orlando! How many folks here are willing to MATCH my $25 donation? You can donate $25, or several people can pool funds in $5 increments for a $25 match! Send to Jen Anderson's Paypal at creativejen@mindspring.com All donations will be acknowledged!
Done... I also re-posted this on my Facebook page. Not sure it will do any good, but I have a few friends who have kept tabs on Mochi's progress. So maybe they will donate as well.
For those who want to donate but do not have paypal, it really only takes a few seconds to sign up. So please, take the time so that we can get Brad back to Orlando to help Osy with the search!
If Jen or Brad are paypal savvy, there is a way for them to set it up where people pay by credit card without having a paypal account. I know some people don't like the concept of paypal and may not want to create an account but may still like to donate.
The map Brad created looks promising... She's definitely not roaming the countryside at large, and she's not holed up hiding under something all day if Osy saw and got so close to her. It's only a matter of time before she changes her mind about bolting or someone can outright tackle her. Sending good thoughts!

I believe Animal Control has also been told, & we have the FB page going to spread the word as much as we can. [ http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Help-us-find-Mochi/109156792487710 ]
Jen is seeing if a few traps can be set for her.
Last sighting of her was yesterday...hoping she shows herself again soon or that someone picks her up & turns her in
If you guys all get a chance, send an email to: Newsdesk@CFNews13.com
Maybe if enough people send the local newstation emails about her, they'll post her story up. ~

*hugs to you all!*
I think the trap idea maybe the best idea. Put out a few of them out with canned dog food or her regular dog food.
Mostly, I just keep checking in to see if she has been found yet, and keep hoping! I posted it on my FB page too.
