Blue eyed labs

Ok, a colleague of mine and her hubby just got a new, adorable chocolate lab puppy. However, it has blue eyes. He says it's pure lab, but I grew up around labs and have never seen any with blue eyes. So, I was curious, is it just me...or perhaps they got taken by a byb??

    How old is it? Sometimes puppies take time to get their adult eye color, thus having blue eyes.

    Hmm...good question. I did not ask.

    With chocolate, sometimes it takes a while for the eye color to turn brown. If the lab was yellow or black, then I would be a lot more concerned.
