complications after neutering

  • This is really good news!!! It does seem he's on the mend. The cone does make me laugh a little. He's such a big puppy, I can just picture him tearing up your walls.

My friend had a St. Bernard, and she was attacked by something on their farm. The vet had to put a horse cone on her, and she ripped up all their walls with scratches. That cone was so ridiculous.
  • Great to hear he's progressing so nicely!

I love the pictures of Oskar in his undies. :-)
  • Glad to hear he is doing better. :)
  • Just wanted to say I came home from a little over a week in Germany, and Oskar is fine. His scrotum is now a sad little deflated balloon again, as it should be, and he seems no worse for wear. The housesitter had no problems with him (though she was happy to get to take the cone off on day three of her visit, as like me, she had many "cone bruises" from where he bashed her with it.

I'll probably have the test for Von Hillebrandt's done next week though, just in case.
  • Glad to hear he's doing so well! It's always nice to have someone you trust that can manage things for you. :-)
  • Great to hear! Let us know how the test goes. I hope it was just a fluke and nothing serious.
  • Whew - what a story! I have always been so big on spay/neuter but b/t this and the possible benefit to longevity of maintaining ovaries I am giving it new thought.
  • Glad to hear Oskar is doing well! Keep us updated on the test results.
